According to Carretero & Pozo (2010), metal ions protect the skin by forming a protective film on the epidermis and possess antiseptic properties by creating an environment unfavorable for microbial growth. Metal ions are widely used in cosmetics for their bioactive properties. But traditional methods require energy-intensive processes to extract and stabilize these elements, often using additional chemicals. The ANAS method is fundamentally different.
